La Maranzanaβs Brachetto dβAcqui DOCG with a flat-top cork is a sweet and aromatic red wine, produced exclusively from Brachetto grapes grown on the hills between Maranzana and Cassine in Piedmont.Brachetto is one of Piedmontβs historic aromatic black grape varieties, long established in the Asti and Alessandria areas.Having nearly disappeared as a result of phylloxera, it was gradually rediscovered during the 20th century, culminating in its recognition as a DOC in 1969 and as a DOCG in 1996.This version is characterised by its low alcohol content, gentle effervescence and intensely floral and fruity profile β characteristics that make it particularly enjoyable both with desserts and as an aperitif.Following the hand-harvest, the grapes are destemmed and crushed, then left in contact with the skins for 2β3 days to achieve the wineβs characteristic pinkish-red hue.The must is then separated from the skins and stored in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature until refermentation takes place in a pressure tank using the Martinotti method, which helps to preserve its most delicate aromas.
Alcohol content: 5.5% vol.
