The Orange Agrodenso is an artisanal sweet-and-sour condiment produced in Châtillon, in the Aosta Valley.Agrodenso® is a registered trademark and refers to a speciality that is distinct from both ordinary vinegar and balsamic vinegar.Made with orange vinegar and orange juice, it has a thick, velvety texture, accompanied by an intense and pleasantly sweet flavour, with fresh and lively notes.Its intensity means it can be used to enhance and garnish dishes with just a few drops, best added raw or at the end of cooking.
It is particularly well suited to duck meat, white meat, smoked fish and shellfish.It can be used to prepare or finish off sweet-and-sour sauces and marinades for meat, fish and vegetables.It creates a pleasant contrast with grilled or roasted vegetables, whilst in desserts it pairs very well with chocolate, ice cream and fresh fruit.
