A babà made with a light, fluffy dough consisting of soft wheat flour, eggs, butter and brewer’s yeast.
After baking, it is soaked in its limoncello syrup, which gives it its characteristic soft and moist texture.
A great traditional Campania classic enriched with the citrus notes of limoncello, ready to be served as a dessert at the end of a meal, to be enjoyed as desired with whipped cream, Chantilly cream, vanilla ice cream or fresh fruit.
Alcohol content: 10% vol.
Our advice is to serve it well chilled, leaving it to drain for a few moments before plating up.
• TRY IT THIS WAY: keep the liquid left in the jar and mix it with some scoops of vanilla ice cream to create a delicious limoncello affogato – the perfect way to make sure you don’t waste a single drop!
